Since the first case of Covid-19 was announced in Brazil in February 2020, biologist and science communicator Atila Iamarino has become one of the primary references in disseminating information about the coronavirus. Media outlets across the country now cover the content produced by him. He is currently a columnist for the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S. Paulo and has participated in television programs and provided scientific consultancy to deputies, senators and ministers.
After the emergency support, new financing from Serrapilheira was negotiated to produce content on channels established during the pandemic – now on other scientific dissemination content in addition to Covid-19 – and the structuring of the Instituto Não Ficção (Non-Fiction Institute), a production company that provides support for the influencer’s work.
