Pedro Henrique Pereira

Life Sciences

The microbiologist’s research focuses on the microbial connections between blue carbon ecosystems, such as mangroves, seagrass meadows, and coral reefs. The project aims to deepen our understanding of carbon sequestration, a process vital to environmental conservation.

Beyond the lab, he taps into his imagination through board games and role-playing, believing that the creativity honed in these games can spark innovative solutions to scientific challenges. With a background in microbiology and immunology, he holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in plant biotechnology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and conducted postdoctoral research at the Fluminense Federal University.
