The initiative is part of the 78th Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science (SBPC), to be held in Niterói (RJ) from July 26 to August 1, 2026, with the central theme “Science for All: Sovereignty, Development, and Inclusion.”
The “Gender, Diversity, and Equity” track includes a range of activities, such as exhibitions, lectures, and roundtable discussions, aimed at fostering reflection on gender, diversity, and equity in the scientific field. It is one of the five thematic tracks of the meeting.
This edition is coordinated by Letícia Oliveira, a professor at the Federal University of Fluminense (UFF) and an active member of diversity committees at UFF and FAPERJ.
