Cientista Beta
The Scientific Initiation Teaching Program is an in-person training program for mentor-teachers to work in scientific initiation and project-based learning. The program will last six months, during which over 120 selected teachers will receive support from CB to guide projects developed by their middle and high school students.
Projects
Scientific activity does not need to be restricted to Higher Education institutions. In 2015, Cientista Beta was created to bring school-age students closer to science and awaken their interest in careers in the area. The program takes scientific initiation to high school and allows students to become researchers through “Decola Beta”, one of the project’s arms. In 2019, “Decola Beta for Teachers” was also developed, a face-to-face training program for teacher-mentors to work in scientific initiation and research-based learning.
