Data_labe
Journalism
Data_labe is a media and research organization in the Maré Favela Complex in Rio de Janeiro. Its activities are organized into three main areas: journalism, training, citizen data monitoring, and generation. Over the past four years, data_labe has developed reports, podcasts, consultancies, analytical reports, research, workshops, and events that consider the favelas’ strengths and complexities and their residents.

data_lábia // Sanitation is Basic! is an eight-episode series that tells the story of the struggles and achievements made by favela residents, environmentalists, activists and scientists in implementing basic sanitation policies in Favela da Maré.
