Giovana Girardi

Giovana Girardi is a journalist who has focused on science and environmental reporting since 2002. She was a reporter for Estadão, co-founding editor of Revista Unesp Ciência, reporter for Folha de S. Paulo, assistant editor of Scientific American magazine, and editor of Galileu magazine. Her most recent impactful work was the narrative podcast Tempo Quente, from Rádio Novelo, launched in 2022. In eight episodes, they uncover the lobbyists and political and economic forces that have been working for years in Brazil in opposition to the fight against climate change. She led the investigation and presentation of the podcast.
