Physicist Narcizo Souza Neto is dedicated to the study of superconducting materials at ambient temperatures. His project involves the use of high-intensity X-rays to identify new materials that could potentially exhibit superconductivity. Narcizo earned his master’s degree in physics from the State University of Campinas and his PhD in physics from the University of São Paulo. Outside of work, Narcizo enjoys cycling with his son and has taken on the role of the family’s official pizza chef. Another regular activity that brings the family together is walking the dogs, a fitting pastime given just how many canines there are in the physicist’s household.
