The event took place between August 4 and 8, 2024, in Ilhéus, Bahia, hosted by the State University of Santa Cruz (Uesc) and organized by Professor Eliana Cazetta. The event brought together 260 researchers from around 25 countries and various regions of Brazil, with the aim of discussing the importance of frugivory and seed dispersal for maintaining biodiversity in megadiverse environments such as tropical forests.
