The article “Fictional Brazil: farms registered with false identity documents and in the middle of a river” addresses the chaotic situation of the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR) in the nine states of the Legal Amazon, showing who benefits from the lack of oversight of the system.

It had the scientific collaboration of Yan Werneck, Antônio Arbex Barroso, Pedro Paulo Souza-Lopes and Iago Simões, students of The Training Program in Quantitative Ecology.
