Como reconstruir uma cidade

Science outreach / Journalism

The project “Como reconstruir uma cidade” (How to Rebuild a City) focuses on science communication about how cities can prepare for and adapt to the climate crisis. Based on the experience of Porto Alegre, the project promotes a global curation of sustainable, evidence-based solutions, using scientific data to guide public policies and urban innovations that address climate challenges.

One of the project’s products is “Climática“, a newsletter sent every two weeks, which aims to broaden understanding of climate change with a focus on cities.

The other product is the podcast “O Fim do Futuro” (The End of the Future), which investigates, in five episodes, how Porto Alegre has changed – or not – one year after the flood that left part of the capital under water.
