Computação sem Caô

Science outreach / Digital Media, Youtube

It was from an unusual challenge that “Computação Sem Caô” (No Nonsense Computing) emerged: the creator, Ana Carolina da Hora, set out to explain algorithms to her grandmother. Ana uses an analogy with cake recipes to clarify that an algorithm is a way of helping the computer understand what you want it to do. Computação sem Caô was a series of videos on YouTube to disseminate content and stimulate relevant discussions about computer science. One of its main objectives was the democratization of this area, expanding gender and racial diversity, in addition to encouraging relevant talks aimed at the lay public.
