Serrapilheira Retreats
More than just providing resources, the Science and Journalism and Media Programs offer training, workshops, and networking events for supported scientists and communicators. The main event is the annual Serrapilheira Retreats. The goal is to enhance the grantees’ training and career development, as well as to create opportunities for them to present their projects for cross-disciplinary cooperation and discussions on diversity in Science, science communication, open Science, and other topics.
