Biologist Sidney Gouveia holds a master’s degree in ecology and conservation from the Federal University of Sergipe. He furthered his academic journey by earning a PhD in ecology and evolution from the University of Goiás. During his PhD, he was a sandwich fellow at the Museum of Natural Sciences in Madrid. In his professional capacity, Sidney delves into the field of macroecology, studying the impact of individual organisms on macroscopic phenomena. Apart from his research, he serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Ecology at the Federal University of Sergipe. Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Sidney is a harmonica enthusiast. He also embraces the joy of fatherhood, often playing the role of the official storyteller for his four-year-old daughter, Alice.
