In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic made clear the importance of scientific research. But while suffering from the disease, Brazil saw investments in science and technology reduced to the lowest levels since 2014. In the series “Ciência à Driva” (Science Adrift), Congresso em Foco showed how the dismantling of science, through actions and government inactions, contributed to the worsening of COVID-19 and several other losses for the country.
