The project “Impacts of agribusiness on biodiversity conservation and the ways of life of indigenous communities” examines the “island” demarcation model, which allows non-indigenous people to live within indigenous territories, and investigate whether the expansion of agribusiness in these areas can have an impact on both biodiversity conservation and indigenous communities’ ways of life.

It had the scientific collaboration of Barbara Lima Silva and Carson Silveira, students of The Training Program in Quantitative Ecology.
