Suzana de Fátima Alcantara

Life Sciences

Suzana Alcantara, a graduate in biological sciences from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), furthered her education with a master’s degree in ecology from the same institution. She earned her doctorate in biological sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP). As a post-doc, she broadened her experience at USP and two other prestigious institutions: the Federal University of Santa Catarina and the University of Berkeley, USA. Beyond her professional life, Suzana has a passion for reading, photography, walks along the beach, and hiking. As a botanist, she naturally enjoys cultivating plants. She is also a devoted mother to her young daughter, Ana Luiza, who is the heart of her leisure time.
