Varadouro is a media organization based in Rio Branco, the capital of Acre. Its primary mission is to provide journalism about the Amazon for the people of the Amazon—whether they live in urban areas, rural areas, or the forest.

Historic floods and record-breaking droughts have begun to alternate more frequently in the Acre River basin.
