Nature Serrapilheira Conference on Advances in Metabolic Communication

Events and Programs

In partnership with the Nature group and researchers from the University of São Paulo (USP), Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp), and State University of Campinas (Unicamp), we promoted the Nature Serrapilheira Conference on Advances in Metabolic Communication in October 2019.

The international event was aimed at researchers from various fields interested in discussing the latest advances in the study of cellular metabolism. One of the topics discussed was how signaling pathways can influence metabolic functions in other cellular compartments, cells, and organs, as well as the systemic control of energy homeostasis. The physiological processes that govern these interactions and how the lack of metabolic communication influences disease development and aging were also discussed.
