Os Caminhos de Niéde Guidon

Science outreach / Podcast

1959. A young science teacher is expelled by fervent Catholics from a town in the interior of São Paulo after teaching the theory of evolution. This marks the beginning of the journey of the impetuous Niéde Guidon to find her place in the world – and, along the way, make one of the most significant archaeological discoveries in Brazil. In “Os Caminhos de Niéde Guidon” (The Paths of Niéde Guidon), this eight-episode biographical podcast, journalist and screenwriter Kelly Cristina Spinelli retraces the steps of the country’s most intriguing archaeologist to narrate the political crises, death threats, and personal dramas of a woman ahead of her time but searching for her space.
