Biologist Hugo Fernandes aims to popularize science in Brazil and convince people from the most varied profiles to place it as a fundamental item in the public debate. Therefore, he is a multimedia promoter: he coordinates partnerships with different media outlets. Fernandes is present in programs on local open television, radio columns and news websites, on social media and produces cultural events. The work is developed under the support of the UECE Scientific Outreach Center, where he is also a professor. He mainly seeks to “pierce the bubble” beyond those already converted to the cause of science.
